Herefordshire borders the county of my childhood, Worcestershire, and I must admit to regarding it as the prettier of the two linked Counties. Yes Worcester has the larger of the county cities and its fashionable connection to North Cotwolds (e.g the chic Broadway) but Herefordshire's beauty is plentiful in its environment. This is an unspoilt agricultural county that has always produced a rich variety of produce for the nation. It is "old England". There are plenty of outdoor activities and you will first be drawn to the River Wye. The Wye Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hidden country houses, pubs and restaurants, and vibrant communities follow this evolving trade route (kayak holidays plentiful!). Taking the County's more recent motto "Herefordshire - Here you can", this is an area that can provide suitable property options if searching for a move to the country or perhaps deeper into rural life.
