A sideways move…

My clients needed to see as much of the Cotswolds as possible to get a sense of where they wanted to live in this new part of the world.  After a slow start due to poor quality stock, I introduced them to a privately available house which matched the brief and excited them. We came up against another strong buyer who I understood had more firepower and so had to think tactically.  I had a strong relationship with the selling agent and knew the owners really liked my client.  I requested a best and final bid, with the aim of obtaining some control and being able to play to our strengths. Despite not making the highest bid, we had considered carefully the other elements to accompany our final bid to ensure that we gave the seller as much comfort as possible. This ‘soft power’ proved effective as our bid was accepted. Happy clients!
