Escape the city
Our clients were keen to move out of London and move to the countryside between Salisbury and Shaftesbury. Both husband and wife were not anticipating having to work in London more than a couple of days a week. They were after a 4/5 bedroom house with a nice sized garden and a view. Their budget was up to £1.8m.

What they bought
After exploring the area west of Salisbury they liked the idea of the Tisbury patch. Part of our role is to challenge our clients’ brief and we suggested they see a house between Winchester and Salisbury. We believed we could negotiate on the guide price as the house had been on the market for a few months. The house needed someone to have some vision and with the help of a local architect and builder we established the likely renovation costs. A fair price was successfully negotiated taking into account the time on the market and the likely renovation spend.
