Buying Agent and Property Search in The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is a very desirable place to live, blending natural beauty, rich history and a high quality of life. In the Middle Ages the Cotswolds became prosperous from the wool trade and many of the houses, churches and other buildings you will see today are a result of this wealth.

The largest designated National Landscape (formally Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) in the UK, the Cotswolds is famed for its rolling hills, honey-stoned villages and handsome market towns. It has always been a popular tourist destination, as well as a natural onward move for families leaving London and those seeking a weekend bolt hole due to its proximity to the capital.

The Cotswolds has undergone significant changes over the last 20 years or so, with once barely known villages such as the Tews becoming hot spots due to the arrival of Soho Farmhouse, and likewise with the surrounding villages of Daylesford Organic farm and Spa. It will be interesting to see what impact Estelle Manor will have on the Eynsham area. However the Cotswolds has a lot more to offer beyond the extravagant social scene. There is a much more low-key lifestyle outside of the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Burford-Stow-Charlbury with strong communities knitting together historic villages with good schools and successful businesses.

Property prices have calmed significantly since the post pandemic ‘rush for space’ and so it’s a good time so buy in the Cotswolds, provided you have the right buying agent to get you ahead of the curve…

Cotswolds Highlights

Highly regarded prep and public schools – from Oxford across to Cheltenham; such as Tudor Hall, The Dragon, Cheltenham College, Kitebrook and St Hughes to name but a few.

Well connected – direct trains to London Paddington and Marylebone between 60 to 90 minutes from most parts.

Festivals – such as Wilderness near Charlbury and The Great Feastival near Kingham.

Pubs! Some of the best in the country and too many to mention but The Bell at Langford is a good start.
